Aidan loved to get away from it all on the weekends, after dealing with craziness at work every week. He loved the countryside, and just being all alone with nature. It really chilled him out to take long hikes in the state parks that surrounded his city, and today was no exception. The weather was beautiful and he was really enjoying the solitude as he made his way deeper into a canyon he had never explored before. Aidan wasn't into a lot of fancy hiking gear, he just wore his jeans and sneakers and favorite old baseball cap as he made his way deeper into the back country.

He'd been hiking for about 2 hours, and hadn't seen another soul for the last hour or so. That suited him fine, as he had to deal all week with plenty of annoying, back-stabbing creeps at work. He took in a deep breath of the fresh, pine-scented air when his nose detected another smell. Aidan knew the odor of pot very well, as he liked to smoke an occasional doobie after work. But out here? That seemed odd to Aidan, and he proceeded down the stone pathway.

"Hold it, kid", a voice barked from behind him.

Aidan spun around, and was surprised to see two guys emerge from the bunch of trees he had just passed. 

For a second or two, Aidan was stunned into silence by the sudden appearance of the two rough-looking characters.

"Hey, what's up?" he finally sputtered.

The one rough looking guy grabbed Aiden.

"On the ground, on your ass", he ordered.

"Listen, guys, I'm just taking a hike. Do your thing, I'm not getting into your business," Aidan replied.

"Shut up and do what he says," the other guy barked.

"Hands behind your back," he ordered, as he pulled a length of white rope from the backpack.

Aidan complied sheepishly, crossing his wrists behind his back, knowing he was about to be tied up. The rope was quickly lashed around his wrists, and Aidan winced as it was pulled taut and knotted.

"Ow", he grunted.

"Shut him up before someone else comes along," the one with the rifle said.

"Guys, please, just leave me...MMMPPPHHH!"

Aidan's plea was cut off by a long strip of duct tape that was pressed tightly over his mouth. The ripping sound of the tape coming off the roll continued as his assailant wrapped it around his head once, twice, three times, using the palm of his hand to seal it down over Aidan's face. The tape pressed Aidan's lips together and the tight strips prevented him from even moving his jaws.

The one who had bound and gagged him took out some more rope and tied Aidan's legs and feet together. He then stood up and re-joined his concealed item-toting companion. They spoke with each other but were too far away for their captive to hear what they were saying.

"OK, kid, stand up", the one who had tied him said, walking over and grabbing Aidan under the arm.

"MMMUMMMPPHHH!!" Aidan mumbled as he struggled to his feet. His bound legs made it difficult to even stand up, but with the XXXX's help, he was finally vertical. Aidan stood still, afraid of losing his balance.

"Start hopping", the Rough looking guy barked.

"MMMPPPHHH???!!!!" Aidan grunted, not knowing how he could possibly follow this command, with his legs tied so tightly, and his hands behind his back. A quick shove from behind made Aidan hop wildly, trying to keep his balance on the irregular, rocky ground. His mind raced as he wondered what was to become of him.

           “What are doing Jerome?”
           “Me…? What—I ain’t doing nothing.”
           “And you’ve been doing nothing every day for a week now. Did you see that note I left for you out in the kitchen?”
           “Uh, no, I ain’t made it out to the kitchen yet.”
           “That does it!” Oh my Gosh!
“I ain’t playing with you no more!”
           Wash had lost it! He had really lost it! He was going to go ahead and shoot me, just like that. “Now wait a minute Wash, I can explain—“
           “I don’t need no more words from you!”
           Wash threw this big roll of tape right at me.
           “Start peeling and pasting, I don’t want to see none of your mouth.”
           “But Wash—“
         
           All of a sudden my hands were shaking so bad I could hardly peel pieces of tape off of that big roll. By now Wash had moved that shiny XXXX around so that I could see right down the barrel and there was a big bullet in there just waiting to come out after me. So I plastered piece after piece of that tape over my mouth until my lips were sealed shut, hoping that maybe that would keep him happy, but it didn’t.
           “Those clothes you’re wearing, you don’t deserve them, take them off!”
           Now I was getting really scared and my fingers were getting all tangled up in my clothes as I tried to pull them off . Would he do it? Would he really do it? That’s what I kept wondering until I could feel a cool breeze blowing against my birthday suit. I closed my eyes and put my hands up, hoping that he would understand that that’s what people did when they were saying “Please don’t shoot me.”
           “Get on the couch. I’ve got other ways of teaching you what you’ve got to learn.”
           I jumped on the couch, too relieved at not being shot to think much about what he was going to do now. Then he threw a whole bunch of ropes at me and then grabbed my body in his big hands. And then his mouth started going and didn’t stop while he told me all of the things he had told me to do which I hadn’t done, and the more he talked, the more angry he got and the tighter he wrapped those ropes around my body so that I was whimpering way back in my throat before he was done.
           And then he hit me with the stunner.
           He was going out for awhile. When he got back, he expected that I would have done what had told be to do when he wrote me that note. And, if I didn’t get it done, then he knew some ways to get some real tears out of me.
           The door closed with a bang and he was gone.
           To hell with him! The only thing I was going to do was to get out of here .
           The first thing I needed to do was to get rid of these ropes. I needed a knife.
           So I hopped and I hopped until I was finally out in his kitchen. Then I turned my body around and finally managed to get my tied hands to open the drawer where he kept the knives.

           But there were no knives in there, only spoons. How was I going to cut myself loose with a spoon?
           And then I saw his note on the fridge. How was I going to clean knives if I couldn’t find no knives?
           And then it hit me. He had hidden those knives somewhere so that I couldn’t find them.
           But I would fool him. I would find those knives, and I would get them all clean, and I would be waiting with a great big smile when he got back.
           Now, if I was a knife, where would I be hiding?

It was just like any other day for Bobby. He work at a local warehouse. He got up, went to work, went home and repeated. It wasn't the most glamorous life but it was an honest living. However, little did Bobby know, today was going to be different.

Bobby began his normal routine at work. Worked his full eight hours and was about to leave when his boss stopped him.

“Hey buddy.” His boss said. “We just got a huge shipment in and I need you to stay and put the shipment away. It's an important shipment that is going to bag the company a quarter of a million dollars in profit. So I need my best man on the job. Thanks man. I appreciate it.” His boss patted him on the shoulder and walked away before Bobby could give a yes or no answer.

Bobby couldn't believe it. All his co-workers had gone home and he was going to have to put this shipment away on his own, but at least he would get paid overtime. So he went back to work. It was a lot of boxes with a baby face on the front and had printed on

it “Nursery Purified Water”. “How could water bag the company all this money?” he

thought to himself. Bobby shrugged off the thought and went back to work.

Just then four guys with ski masks covering their faces busted into the warehouse. They spotted Bobby. He wasn't about to lose his life for this

job, so he threw his hands in the air. One of the men moved towards him. “Just do as we say and you wont get hurt. Now turn around.”

Bobby did as he was told. He wasn't about to lose his life for a job. The man pulled

Bobby's arms behind his back and began tying his hands. After finishing with his hands, the man pulled out more rope to bind his arms at this side.

Meanwhile the other men began taking out all the boxes of “water”. “We are going to help a lot of people with the money we make selling these stolen jewels, aren't we boss?” one of the men said.

“Jewels? I thought it was bottles of water.” Bobby said.

“Yeah, your boss thought we wouldn't find out if he disguised the packages. Sorry about this but,” the man said, “I cant have you screaming for help.” He then gagged Bobby with a cleave gag followed by a blindfold. He then XXXX Bobby to the ground so we could tie his feet. Round and round the rope went, securing Bobby in place. One more rope was connected to his feet and wrapped behind his neck to safely put Bobby in a front facing hogtie. “Now by the sound of it, you didn't know your boss was crooked. So if you ever decide to work work for a more noble job, gimme a call.” The man slipped a card into Bobby's pocket.

“Alright boss, we got all the boxes loaded up.” one of the men said.

“Good. Lets get out of here.” the leader of the group said, “Don't worry, the janitor will be here in a couple of hours. He will free you if you don't get out by then. That should give you some time to think about my offer.”

Bobby heard footsteps leaving the building followed by a door shutting. He couldn't

believe his boss is crooked and now he was alone in the warehouse, tied up and the

janitor wasn't due for a couple of hours. He struggled against the ropes. Rolled around, trying to get out. However the only thing he was able to do was get the rope off that was behind his head, that put him in the hogtie, off. The ropes that bound his hands were

tied to well though. And so Bobby laid there, waiting. It was going to be a long couple of hours.

Bobby sure didn't want to be working for a crook, so he decided that after this, he was going to take the modern day Robin Hood up on his offer. So after trying to get out, Bobby laid there and waited for help to arrive.
